The growing worry and fear resulting from the unprecedented uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to swing an emotional wrecking ball. Hardest hit has been the population living with existing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other mental health conditions. Fortunately, the nonprofit Now Matters Now exists for these reasons.
Our own Cal Beyer, CSDZ VP Workforce Risk and Worker Wellbeing, along with Claire Burnett, on the Joyages team, recently sat down with the Executive Director of Now Matters Now, Dr. Ursula Whiteside, to talk about these issues. Check out the article in Construction Executive called “Post-COVID-19 Strategies to Promote Mental Well-Being and Suicide Prevention: The Powerful Reach and Touch of Caring Messages: An Interview With Dr. Ursula Whiteside.”
